A living room with white plaster coving fitted along the ceiling line

Plaster coving, cornice & ceiling roses, made and fitted in Ireland

About us

Made by hand.
Fitted by its maker.

Munster Coving is a family-run maker of traditional plaster mouldings, with offices in Cork and Kerry. We cast every profile ourselves, so each length matches the next and every detail stays sharp.

Then our own team fits it, whether that's a Victorian semi in Cork, a guest house in Killarney or a five-star hotel. One team, from first measure to final finish.

  1. We visit, measure up and advise on profiles
  2. We cast your mouldings in our Kerry workshop
  3. Our own craftsmen fit and finish

Coving

The finishing line every room is missing.

Eight profiles, from a plain modern cove to a richly ribbed Victorian. Each one is cast in our Kerry workshop and fitted by the team that made it.

Measured drawing of a plaster coving profile

Bespoke coving and cornice

If none of our standard profiles is right, we'll make one that is. We can match an existing coving or cornice from a sample, a photo or a section of the original, or work from an architect's drawing, then cast it in our Kerry workshop so it runs true from wall to wall.

  • Matching original period mouldings
  • Extensions that continue an existing run
  • New profiles to an architect's or designer's drawing

Renovations and restoration

Older houses rarely have a straight wall or a level ceiling, and original plasterwork is often cracked, missing or painted over. We repair and replace damaged mouldings, match new work to what survives, and fit around the quirks of an older building so the finish looks like it was always there.

  • Repairing damaged decorative plasterwork
  • Replacing lost cornice, coving and ceiling roses
  • From a single room to a heritage building like Adare Manor
